It&#8217;s a seasonably cold day across Kentucky as we await the arrival of a light snow maker to start the weekend before Christmas. This will likely cause a few travel issues late Friday into Friday night.<\/p>\n<p>In the overall scheme of things, I have no changes to how this looks to play out.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s hit the headlines:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This system dives in from northwest to southeast Friday into Friday night.<\/li>\n<li>The main area of impact is across central and eastern Kentucky.<\/li>\n<li>Light snow pushes in quickly Friday morning and may be introduced by a quick-hitting band of rain showers.<\/li>\n<li>Light snow takes control by Friday afternoon and continue into the evening.<\/li>\n<li>From there, a strong northwest flow touches off snow showers and flurries Friday night into Saturday.<\/li>\n<li>Light accumulations are a good bet across central and eastern Kentucky.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I&#8217;m rolling with the First Call for Snowfall&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/1-MAP-4.jpg\"><img slightly warmer temps in that area, meaning showers don&#8217;t change to snow as fast.
