Good evening, gang. Our winter weather maker is on the way to Kentucky and will deliver a light snowfall for much of central and eastern Kentucky later Friday into early Saturday. This is accompanied by frigid wind chills for the weekend just before Christmas.<\/p>\n

We now have a Winter Weather Advisory out for far southeastern Kentucky Friday into Friday night…<\/p>\n

I’ll say this again… I have no idea why they keep totally jumping Floyd County with advisories like this. ha<\/p>\n

My New Call for Snowfall hasn’t really changed much, but I did add the chance for a little more in the higher mountains of far southeastern Kentucky…<\/p>\n

The overall look of this system hasn’t changed with a period of light snow that can start as a bit of light rain on Friday with snow showers and flurries Friday night into early Saturday…<\/p>\n

One thing to watch for is the potential for an overachieving band of light snow for areas of north central Kentucky. Some of the models are seeing this…<\/p>\n

Again, this is more of a novelty system bringing some light snows just days before Christmas.<\/p>\n
