Temps really take off after that with highs reaching the 50s and there’s even the chance for thunderstorms going up late next week or into the start of the final weekend of the year. This is ahead of a massive pattern change that will lead us into, what I believe, will be a harsh winter setup starting around the New Year.<\/p>\n

This change to cold has been well advertised by the EURO Weeklies and they continue to look absolutely frigid for much of the country. Watch the blocking going up to our north with a deep trough developing underneath it across the US. This animation just shows the first few weeks of January…<\/p>\n The same EURO Weeklies are among the snowiest looks I’ve seen from them in years…<\/p>\n Remember, all this is the average of more than 100 members that make up the EURO Weeklies.<\/p>\n The new GFS Extended is also going big for January…<\/p>\n Another update or two comes your way later today.
