<\/p>\nGood evening, everyone. Winter storm number 1 is now in our rearview mirror with frigid air taking control for the next few days. This will be followed by the potential of another Winter Storm Friday and Saturday.<\/p>\n

Additional snow showers and flurries show up tonight into Tuesday with hit and run light accumulations possible. There’s a better chance for light snow and some snow showers that can throw down a half to local 1″ totals from Tuesday night into Wednesday.<\/p>\n
These light snows are showing up well on the future radar from the Hi Res NAM and the NAM…<\/p>\n
Hi Res NAM<\/p>\n
NAM<\/p>\n The Winter Storm THREAT comes at us Friday and Saturday as low pressure develops in Texas and rolls toward the northeast, potentially phasing with a system dropping in from the northwest. That’s what the GFS and Canadian Models have been suggesting for a while now and the GFS continues to show another healthy winter storm…<\/p>\n The EURO had this a few days ago but has a lighter event without any phasing going on…<\/p>\n That would still be good for a few to several inches of snow, though. I don’t trust the EURO with phasing issues with energy coming from the southwest as it tends to struggle from this time range.<\/p>\n Regardless, another snow system follows that up by Sunday and Monday with more arctic air diving in behind that with a pattern that’s harsh for the next 2 to 3 weeks.<\/p>\n The EURO Ensembles show this well as they run MUCH colder than normal though January 21st…<\/p>\n I’ll have a full update later tonight.
