Arctic cold temps continue to settle in across the region for the next few days. This brings wind chills that can drop below zero each of the next few mornings. The overall setup then takes another harsh turn this weekend into next week.<\/p>\n<p>Wind chills tonight and early Tuesday drop toward 0 with a few areas going below&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/hrrr-5.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-69135\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/hrrr-5.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Wind chills have a better chance to go below zero Tuesday night into Wednesday morning&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/hrrr-2-3.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-69136\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/hrrr-2-3.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The setup from here will deliver a bump up in temps by Friday as we get ready for another harsh setup later this weekend into next week. An arctic front slides in with low pressure Friday night and Saturday and I maintain we see this trend colder as we get closer.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s something showing up on the new EURO which only goes out to Sunday&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/EURO-2-10.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-69141\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/EURO-2-10.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s the earlier run of the EURO with this setup and the stuff that follows&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/EURO-26.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-69137\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/EURO-26.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The GFS continues to flip around a lot from run to run&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/GFS-32.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-69140\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/GFS-32.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A new model known as Spire actually shows this weekend&#8217;s system putting us in the line of fire for a lot of snow&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/SPIRE.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-69139\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/SPIRE.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Again, we will see how all this works out in the coming days.<\/p>\n<p>One thing is for sure, this is a very cold pattern with one amazingly cold signal from the Ensembles all the way through January 29th&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/CANADIAN-25.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-69138\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/CANADIAN-25.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll have a full update tonight so check back.
