Good Wednesday, everyone. The threat for strong and severe thunderstorms will increase across Kentucky today as clusters of boomers roll in from the northwest. This is a setup that can bring fairly widespread damaging winds to the region.<\/p>\n

These storm clusters will try to bow out and that’s when you can get the big time winds. In addition to the damaging wind threat, large hail and an isolated tornado will be possible. Torrential rain and one heck of a light show will also be likely.<\/p>\n

The greatest threat for severe weather will be from this afternoon into the overnight hours. Additional storms will be around from Thursday into Friday.<\/p>\n
