The threat for strong and severe thunderstorms will increase across Kentucky today as clusters of boomers roll in from the northwest. This is a setup that can bring fairly widespread damaging winds to the region.<\/p>\n<p>These storm clusters will try to bow out and that&#8217;s when you can get the big time winds. In addition to the damaging wind threat, large hail and an isolated tornado will be possible. Torrential rain and one heck of a light show will also be likely.<\/p>\n<p>The greatest threat for severe weather will be from this afternoon into the overnight hours.
