<\/p>\nGood evening, everyone. Flooding rains are coming to an end across the region as our big storm system moves away. This will be replaced by a better pattern for the weekend into the first week of February as milder temps surge in.<\/p>\n
Flooding issues this morning were common across eastern and southeastern Kentucky. Many roads were closed and some school districts had to call off classes because of the flooding, yet, the NWS in Jackson didn’t issue a single warning for any of this, nor did they issue a watch ahead of the event.<\/p>\n
To be blunt… This simply cannot happen. The ONLY job that matters in the entire weather community is taking care of the people we serve. That’s it. Nothing else matters in the weather world.<\/p>\n
Here’s a look at the current warnings across our region…<\/p>\n

Temps on Saturday come down with highs in the 40s with clouds slowly breaking. Temps shoot up to 60 on Sunday with a run into the 60s into next week.<\/p>\n
That’s ahead of what may be some strong storms blowing in by Thursday with cold air coming in behind this.<\/p>\n
The pattern looks really active with several other storm systems blowing through here after that, but the details of each are a long way from being known. Still, the EURO is showing a lot of action…<\/p>\n
