The focus of the forecast continues to be on the major storm system blowing in here for the weekend. This may bring widespread flooding, strong storms, high winds and some snow behind it.<\/p>\n<p>The NWS offices are getting ahead of this setup by issuing a Flood Watch for the weekend. This is for all but far northern Kentucky&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/x-hv1.pivotalweather.com\/maps\/warnings\/nwshaz.us_ov.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I continue to highlight the same areas for significant flooding issues&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/2-MAP-5.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-70015\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/2-MAP-5.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"820\" height=\"457\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/2-MAP-5.jpg 820w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/2-MAP-5-300x167.jpg 300w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/2-MAP-5-768x428.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 820px) 100vw, 820px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Weather Prediction Center continues with the Moderate Risk for excessive rainfall&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wpc.ncep.noaa.gov\/exper\/eromap\/statemaps\/KY_Day3.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A general 1&#8243;-4&#8243; of rain will fall across the state with the potential for 5&#8243;+ rains to show up.
