Good Thursday, everyone. Much better weather is blowing into the commonwealth of Kentucky today as a cold front swings through here. This front will usher in cooler and drier air for a couple of days as we jump into the start of the weekend. Don’t get too used to it… scattered storms return as early as Sunday.<\/p>\n
We will still have to contend with scattered showers and thunderstorms for a part of today. Cooler and drier air will work in from the northwest during the afternoon and evening hours. Highs will top out in the upper 70s to around 80.<\/p>\n
Skies will clear for Friday and Saturday with lows dropping into the 50s for some. Highs will near 80 Friday and into the low 80s for Saturday.<\/p>\n
An upper level low will likely begin to impact our weather by Sunday with some scattered showers and storms. This compact low may work from north to south across the region into Monday…<\/p>\n
Throw in some juice from the tropics and we get a renewed threat for showers and thunderstorms into early next week. The European Model is on board… Yes… some heavy rains will be possible during that time. That almost goes without saying at this point.<\/p>\n While signs continue to point toward a warm and humid pattern… the models continue to spit out decent rain totals over the next few weeks.
