Hot and humid air continues to surge into central and eastern Kentucky today and this will take up most of the week in weather. This does not look like the beginning of an extended period of steamy weather, but should give us the hottest air of the summer.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s how the week shakes out&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Special.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7097\" alt=\"Special\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Special.png\" width=\"696\" height=\"516\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Special.png 696w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Special-300x222.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>That pattern begins to break down by Friday as a dip in the jet stream dives into the eastern part of the country.
