Chilly showers continue to push across the state today, weakening as we get deeper into the day. Once into the week ahead, temps and conditions look pretty darn good. Once into next weekend, the pattern turns active once again.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll also take a deep dive into the winter months from one of the latest seasonal models.<\/p>\n<p>Today&#8217;s showers are spinning around an upper-level low spinning southeast through the region. This action diminishes from northwest to southeast today and you can track it all on your Kentucky Weather Radars&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/builder.zoomradar.net\/zoomradar_weather_map\/weather_page.php?key=dlFZs5IY4VCw7bK\" width=\"560\" height=\"450\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" seamless=\"seamless\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.accuweather.com\/radar-large.asp?partner=netweather&amp;traveler=0&amp;site=KY_&amp;type=SIR&amp;anim=1&amp;level=state&amp;large=1#\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"jetpack-lazy-image jetpack-lazy-image--handled lazyloaded\" src=\"https:\/\/sirocco.accuweather.com\/nx_mosaic_640x480_public\/sir\/inmaSIRKY_.gif\" alt=\"\" usemap=\"#largemap\" data-src=\"https:\/\/sirocco.accuweather.com\/nx_mosaic_640x480_public\/sir\/inmaSIRKY_.gif\" data-lazy-loaded=\"1\" \/><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Monday starts with cold temps and some fog with temps reaching the 50s during the afternoon. 60-65 degree highs are a good bet for Tuesday and Wednesday but may come down just a smidge behind a backdoor cold front on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>A strong southwest wind then kicks in on Friday ahead of the first in a series of systems dropping in from the northwest. This model comes out at the first of each month and had been showing a very warm December across the country. That is no longer the case as it now shows the coldest temperatures relative to normal in the entire northern hemisphere expanding into our region&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/CANSIPS-4.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-73298\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/CANSIPS-4.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"991\" height=\"939\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/CANSIPS-4.png 991w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/CANSIPS-4-300x284.png 300w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/CANSIPS-4-768x728.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 991px) 100vw, 991px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s important to note seasonal models aren&#8217;t meant to give accurate forecasts, but they are of good value if we understand the overall theme of what they show.
