<\/p>\nGood Wednesday, everyone. Scattered showers and storms have been common across the region over the past few days. This action will become a little more widespread today as we continue to ramp up our moisture supply. I do have some good news and it has nothing to do with car insurance. Our weekend weather is looking pretty darn good. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
The storms of today will be slow movers and can put down some torrential rains. A lot of lightning will also accompany these bad boys. Let’s track em…<\/p>\n

Scattered showers and storms will continue into Thursday as temps return to the 80-85 degree range. Humidity levels will continue to make it feel a little warmer.<\/p>\n
A cold front swings in here on Friday and will bring a band of showers and thunderstorms with it…<\/p>\n
The timing of that front will be crucial to high school football games. Hopefully, we can get that front through here earlier in the day to clear things out by kickoff.<\/p>\n The weekend looks very nice with cooler and drier air working in. Low 80s and low humidity levels will combine with sunshine to make for an outstanding Saturday and Sunday. Lows will drop into the 50s.<\/p>\n You will hear a lot of talk about a plains heat wave bubbling up this weekend into next week. This will likely stay to our west and the heat may actually head overtop of us into the Great Lakes… Can we squeeze a 90 out of that pattern? My August forecast said to watch the end of the month for a 90, so I wouldn’t mind one.
