<\/p>\nGood evening, everyone. Rounds of rain and just flat out ugly stuff continues to push from west to east across the state. I wanted to drop by for a quick update as we gear up for big changes Thanksgiving Week.<\/p>\n
Periods of showers and storms are out there this evening with the chance for a few strong storms across southern Kentucky. As a matter of fact, the Storm Prediction Center has a Marginal Risk for severe weather in south central Kentucky…<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The low-end potential is there for a few areas of damaging wind. There’s also the very low chance for a quick tornado spin up…<\/p>\n

The dreary sticks into much of Saturday before much better weather moves in for Sunday. This nice stuff is ahead of another storm system rolling in later Monday and Tuesday. That brings more showers and rumbles of thunder ahead of it with a big temp crash behind it.<\/p>\n
That temps crash occurs on the busy travel day Wednesday as a cold front moves through. That may have a flake or two behind it later Wednesday night or Thanksgiving morning. The disturbance behind it can still bring some flakes in here on Black Friday or into Black Friday Night.<\/p>\n
The new version of the Canadian Model continues to be in step with my general ideas…<\/p>\n
The EURO is coming around to that thought process…<\/p>\n I’d post the GFS but it’s doing all kinds of GFS things right now.<\/p>\n I mentioned how a southeast ridge pushes back against all this to start December and that may very well set up a active storm track right through here. That ridge gets beaten down after a few days…<\/p>\n The EURO is seeing more of the whole setup and showing these active systems rolling through here to start the month…<\/p>\n Heavy rain, strong storms then some snow appear to be on the horizon during the first week of the month as winter then flexes some serious muscle.<\/p>\n I\u2019ll get into all of that with the full update later tonight and, of course, I\u2019ll have updates on my Meteorologist Chris Bailey Facebook Page<\/a><\/p>\n Until then, here are your tracking tools for the day\u2026<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Canadian-24.gif\")
