Good Saturday, folks. Widespread showers and thunderstorms will be across the region to start the day out. This action will continue to drop very heavy rainfall as it pushes eastward. A blast of cool air is funneling in behind this system and the next few days look fantastic.<\/p>\n

Many areas will pick up 1″-3″ of rain before the last drop exists the state later today. We’ve set this up for for a while, and now we just have to track the juice out of here. Regional radar will help you do just that…<\/p>\n

Cooler air drier air surges in behind the strong cold front. This will usher in a chill to the air over the next couple of days. Lows Sunday and Monday will be in the low to mid 40s. Sunday’s highs will be in the mid to upper 60s east to low 70s west. Upper 60s to low 70s will be common on Monday.<\/p>\n

Enjoy it… I expect some moisture to return by later Tuesday into Wednesday. That happens as another disturbance digs in from the northwest…<\/p>\n

There will still be some tropical moisture down in the gulf and that system is going to try to pull some of that northward. We will keep a close eye on that one.<\/p>\n

More than a week ago, I warned you guys this pattern was about to really crank up. We have the potential to see a pretty healthy dip in the jet stream before the month is over. Some of the models are going toward a massive cutoff scenario. The European Model is one of them…<\/p>\n
