Temps are climbing and the birds are chirping as we get closer to the end of March. As the temps continue to rise, it&#8217;s setting us up for a rather stormy pattern as we head into early April.<\/p>\n<p>Temps today reach the 60s this afternoon with partly sunny skies. Temps then surge into the 70s for Monday then near 80 for Tuesday. This is when the first in a series of storms threatens the region.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a breakdown:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Warmer than normal temps will be noted across Kentucky from Tuesday through next weekend.<\/li>\n<li>Our region will be situated in the battle zone between spring temps from here and south with a much colder scenario across the Plains and north.<\/li>\n<li>Several storm systems will be rolling from the Plains toward the Midwest and Great Lakes during this time.<\/li>\n<li>Rounds of showers and thunderstorms will roll across the state, but this won&#8217;t be constant.<\/li>\n<li>Some of these storms may be strong or severe.<\/li>\n<li>The potential for, at least, local flash flooding issues will be with us during this time as a lot of rain may fall.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I have no issues with the heavy rain area being highlighted by The Weather Prediction Center&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/WPC.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-77023\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/WPC.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1100\" height=\"577\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/WPC.png 1100w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/WPC-300x157.png 300w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/WPC-1024x537.png 1024w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/WPC-768x403.png 768w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/WPC-1080x567.png 1080w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1100px) 100vw, 1100px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Euro gives us a good look at all the action rumbling through our region from late Tuesday through next weekend&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/EURO-13.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-77020\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/EURO-13.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This pattern may take a break for a few days before it fires right back up a few days later.
