Good Friday and welcome to another great, but boring, weather day. This is often a slow time of the year for all of us weather nuts. That’s certainly the case this week and we have a few more days of this. The next few weeks look entirely different as our pattern takes on the look of something a month or two from now.<\/p>\n

A big storm will develop across the plains states early in the week and head toward the Great Lakes. That system will drag a strong cold front into the region by Wednesday…<\/p>\n

\"GFS\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Showers and storms will be along and ahead of the front… the only question on that will be the timing of when it pushes through. If we can get a wave of low pressure to develop along the front, it would slow it down just a bit and give us more heavy rain.<\/p>\n

Regardless… there is a lot of cold air poised to dump in behind this system…\"GFS<\/a>The pattern continues to show more and more signs of blocking and that will likely unleash very cold air into the country over the next few weeks. This is a very strong signal for cold…<\/p>\n
