Your friendly weatherdude is taking in the sighs and sounds from our nation&#8217;s capital early this week. Spending it with a bunch of 5th graders takes a lot out of effort. But, I&#8217;m still here to keep you updated on the big changes blowing into town.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s get straight to it&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>A cold front swings across the state early today and will bring a gusty band of showers. These will be keep temps in the 40s as the drops fall. Here&#8217;s regional radar to make your BFF&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.accuweather.com\/radar-large.asp?partner=netweather&amp;traveler=0&amp;site=KY_&amp;type=SIR&amp;anim=1&amp;level=state&amp;large=1#\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/sirocco.accuweather.com\/nx_mosaic_640x480_public\/sir\/inmaSIRKY_.gif\" usemap=\"#largemap\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This is a quick hitting system that comes and goes early in the day. Some afternoon sun will boost temps toward the 50-55 degree range.<\/p>\n<p>We have two more fast moving systems rolling across the state over the next few days. The first one arrives early Tomorrow with band of cold showers. A wet flake or a touch of sleet will be possible&#8230; especially in the north and the east. Highs will struggle in the 40s.<\/p>\n<p>The next system comes in by Thursday morning with even colder air. That means some showers of rain or mixed rain\/snow will be possible in a few spots. You can see this well on the GFS precipitation type&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/weather.bloginky.com\/files\/2013\/10\/GFS9.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"GFS\" src=\"http:\/\/weather.bloginky.com\/files\/2013\/10\/GFS9.png\" width=\"343\" height=\"314\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Highs will head back into the low and middle 40s. A little leftover moisture could be in the form of sprinkles or Flurries as we head into the evening&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/weather.bloginky.com\/files\/2013\/10\/GFS-27.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"GFS 2\" src=\"http:\/\/weather.bloginky.com\/files\/2013\/10\/GFS-27.png\" width=\"343\" height=\"315\" \/><\/a>Again&#8230; this is just the threat for a few flakes and not something to do a snow dance for. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Lows by Friday morning head into the middle 20s and could get close to a couple of records.<\/p>\n<p>Nothing has changed with my thoughts on next week and I will touch more on that after my trip.<\/p>\n<p>Make it a great day and take care.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Good Tuesday, everyone.
