The day is for the dads, but Mother Nature is trying to steal the show with another severe storms threat later today into Monday. This will be accompanied by the potential for areas of flash flooding.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a quick breakdown of how things may play out:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Partly sunny skies are noted for much of the day with highs near the normal mid 80s for man.<\/li>\n<li>Rounds of strong to severe storms will fire to our west and northwest this afternoon.<\/li>\n<li>These waves of strong to severe storms then rumble through the Commonwealth starting this evening.<\/li>\n<li>The greatest threat for severe weather is across western and parts of central Kentucky.<\/li>\n<li>This will be the area most at risk for damaging winds and a couple of tornadoes.<\/li>\n<li>The risk area decreases the farther east the storms get into tonight and Monday morning.<\/li>\n<li>Storms on Monday will concentrate farther south but can still put contain pockets of damaging winds and large hail.<\/li>\n<li>We will also be watching for local flash flood issues to develop, especially if storms move over the same areas had flooding just a few days ago.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a look at today&#8217;s Severe Weather Outlook from the Storm Prediction Center&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.spc.noaa.gov\/partners\/outlooks\/state\/images\/KY_swody1.png?1781639831\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The tornado risk is there for parts of central and, especially, western Kentucky&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.spc.noaa.gov\/partners\/outlooks\/state\/images\/KY_swody1_TORN.png?1781726891\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a look at the Damaging wind threat from the SPC&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" lazyloaded\" src=\"https:\/\/www.spc.noaa.gov\/partners\/outlooks\/state\/images\/KY_swody1_WIND.png?1781727020\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.spc.noaa.gov\/partners\/outlooks\/state\/images\/KY_swody1_WIND.png?1781727020\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And the large hail threat looks like this&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" lazyloaded\" src=\"https:\/\/www.spc.noaa.gov\/partners\/outlooks\/state\/images\/KY_swody1_HAIL.png?1781727148\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.spc.noaa.gov\/partners\/outlooks\/state\/images\/KY_swody1_HAIL.png?1781727148\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"autors-widget\">\n<div>\n<div>The Severe Weather Outlook for Monday is tamer and centered farther south than what we have out there today&#8230;<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.spc.noaa.gov\/partners\/outlooks\/state\/images\/KY_swody2.png?1781634968\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The pattern is still on the active side as we close out June and begin July.
