Good Saturday and welcome to the last weekend of October. We’ve had a winter preview over the past few days and will hang on to the chilly air for a few more days. Big changes are lurking for Halloween week as our pattern ramps it up a notch.<\/p>\n
Our short term weather looks pretty good. After a frigid start in the 20s, afternoon highs will range from 50-55 degrees in most areas. Skies will be partly sunny with some high clouds streaming in. Those clouds are ahead of a cold front that drops in here early Sunday. This is moisture starved, but may spit out a shower.<\/p>\n
Temps behind the boundary will be a few degrees colder than what we have today.<\/p>\n
Changes begin on Monday as temps moderate toward 60 degrees and some late day clouds increase. A massive storm system will develop across the southern Rockies and that will have a big impact on our weather through the week.<\/p>\n
That impact starts Tuesday as we see scattered showers and some thunder working in from the west…<\/p>\n
That will have an impact on how warm our temps get. With the rain, it’s in the 50s. Outside of the rain we’re talking low 60s.<\/p>\n That storm will then continue to develop and work toward the Ohio Valley and Great Lakes by late Wednesday into Halloween. With so much going on in the atmosphere… I suspect we will see the models handle this system a little differently as we get closer.
