It&#8217;s another absolutely awesome weather day across the Commonwealth as we get set to send July out on a decent note. That changes quickly as we get into the weekend as August starts wet with rounds of showers and storms.<\/p>\n<p>The setup for the weekend continues to look the same with a slow-moving upper-level system meandering through here. Here&#8217;s the setup for the weekend&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/1-MAP.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-78306\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/1-MAP.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"711\" height=\"404\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/1-MAP.jpg 711w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/1-MAP-300x170.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 711px) 100vw, 711px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Spiraling bands of showers and storms show up across the west Friday evening with a slow eastward push Saturday and Sunday. This future radar from the RRFS only goes through 8am Sunday, but gives us a really good look at the bands of showers and storms&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/RRFS-1.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-78311\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/RRFS-1.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This low will hang around Monday and Tuesday with additional showers and storms going up each day.
