Good Sunday, everyone. We’re about to wrap up the weekend in similar fashion to how it started. Steamy temps and scattered storms will be with us once again. The week ahead looks much more active with rounds of storms that may very well cause some issues.<\/p>\n

Temps today range from the middle 80s to around 90 in many areas as humidity levels continue to make it feel hotter.<\/p>\n

Scattered storms go up with the best chance in the south and then across the north. The north is closer to a setup that may bring a cluster of strong to severe storms into the Ohio Valley with the chance this sneaks south of the Ohio River later tonight.<\/p>\n

The Storm Prediction Center has the far north in the low-end severe threat because of this possibility…<\/p>\n

This overall setup sinks farther south later Monday into Tuesday and may very well hang around throughout much of the week into next weekend. This kind of setup would produce waves of of strong storms and heavy rain that come from northwest to southeast…<\/p>\n

You may recall me posting the AI GFS and EURO a week or so ago because they were showing this and that looked like the right idea to me. The operational models have also been showing this from time to time but are growing a little more emphatic with the rain numbers over the next week…<\/p>\n

The threat for some of these clusters to be strong or severe is there and the Storm Prediction Center is trying to figure out where to put the risk areas. They were too far north originally because the operational models were way too far north.<\/p>\n

The trend from the SPC is farther south with the severe weather potential for later Monday and Tuesday…<\/p>\n
