Good Saturday, weather peeps. We’re going into a pattern that will feature a lot of ups and downs over the next few weeks. This back and forth setup is likely to lead to frequent rounds of rain that could add up to some hefty totals.<\/p>\n

We have another cold front swinging into the state today and this will spawn scattered showers and gusty winds. Here’s regional radar…<\/p>\n

Temps ahead of the front will be in the 50s and then quickly drop behind the boundary. Northwesterly winds will kick in tonight and early Sunday…<\/p>\n

That flow isn’t perfect for some upslope stuff across the high mountains in the east, but it can keep a shower around tonight. A wet flake in the highest elevations?<\/p>\n

Sunday will be a breezy day with highs in the upper 40s and low 50s. This is when our back and forth pattern kicks in. Check out the trough\/ridge battle…<\/p>\n

\"GFS<\/a>Ahead of each trough… showers and some thunder will be possible. The next round of that comes Wednesday into early Thursday. Again… this pattern can lead to a lot of rain over the next 2-3 weeks.<\/p>\n
