We&#8217;re putting the wraps on an amazing week of weather across Kentucky, but we have to pay the bill for it soon. Hurricane Isaias continues to spin toward the Gulf Coast and will bring a big impact to Kentucky this weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Before we get into all the specifics on our storm. Here&#8217;s a quick breakdown of how things may play out around here:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Spiraling bands of showers and some storms arrive from south to north Saturday afternoon and evening.<\/li>\n<li>This action increases during the evening and overnight as the threat for a few storms increases.<\/li>\n<li>Winds will increase as well with gusts Saturday evening and night topping 30-40mph at times.<\/li>\n<li>The remnant low enters southwestern Kentucky late Saturday night then rolls east across the state Sunday.<\/li>\n<li>More in the way of spiraling bands of showers and storms spread east along and ahead of this low.<\/li>\n<li>We will need to watch for a few strong or locally severe storms to fire up during this time.<\/li>\n<li>Areas of 1\u2033-3\u2033 rains may show up this weekend, with the opportunity for a little more in a few spots.<\/li>\n<li>Local flash flooding issues can\u2019t be ruled out.<\/li>\n<li>This system moves way Sunday night and early Monday, taking any lingering showers with it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The satellite loop shows our hurricane and how it&#8217;s essentially getting pulled right toward the Pensacola, Florida area&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.star.nesdis.noaa.gov\/GOES19\/ABI\/SECTOR\/ga\/13\/GOES19-GA-13-1000x1000.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The latest information and track forecast from the National Hurricane Center continues to take what&#8217;s left of this all the way into our region&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nhc.noaa.gov\/storm_graphics\/AT09\/refresh\/AL092026_5day_cone+png\/062038_5day_cone.png\" alt=\"cone graphic\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Hurricane Forecast Models have also trended farther east into central and eastern Kentucky for the track of the low&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Tropics-1-2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-79075\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Tropics-1-2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"579\" height=\"483\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Tropics-1-2.png 579w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Tropics-1-2-300x250.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 579px) 100vw, 579px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The future radar from the RRFS matches up really well with the forecast track from the NHC and the Hurricane Models. Watch these spiraling bands of showers and storms spinning around the low on this animation that starts at 8am Saturday and ends at 8pm Sunday&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/RRFS-1.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-79078\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/RRFS-1.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The signal is there for a corridor of enhanced rains across central Kentucky, especially.
