After a very warm and very dry first two months of fall, November looks to shake things up a bit. While temps should still be above normal throughout the much of the month, it’s a pattern that’s turning very active.

The active setup isn’t wasting any time as showers roll into western Kentucky this morning then expand farther east and northeast later today into tonight. Leftover showers will tape from south to north on Monday.

This future radar from this morning through 7pm Monday seems to have a good handle on everything…

Local half to one inch rain amounts will be possible across the west and central. Areas in the east will see much lighter amounts and won’t see much until tonight.

Temps ahead of the rain reach the upper 60s to low 70s. Areas with rain will see 50s.

Election Day continues to look warm and breezy with low and mid 70s. Winds start to crank later in the day ahead of a storm system pushing into the region for the middle and end of the week. The models continue to be a work in progress in how they handle this system.

The end result should still be showers and storms rolling from west to east across the state Wednesday with the chance for a few strong storms. This system should slow down near us, keeping a gusty showers going into Thursday, at least. Another system may drop in from the northwest into next weekend…

The EURO Weeklies continue to show well above normal precipitation for much of the United States through the middle of December…

Eventually, some of this will be in snow form…

The change to a more winter looking and feeling pattern gets going during the second half of the month.
