The potential for strong and severe storms is increasing for Sunday and Sunday evening. This threat includes damaging winds, large hail and a few tornadoes.<\/p>\n<p>The Storm Prediction Center continues to outline much of the state in a moderate risk&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/SPC1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7971\" alt=\"SPC\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/SPC1.png\" width=\"640\" height=\"376\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This is only the 11th Day 2 Moderate Risk in the past 15 years in November.<\/p>\n<p>Sunday looks to start out with scattered showers and thunderstorms blowing up across the region. Isolated severe weather will be possible with the early day action. The simulated radar from the NAM shows this action&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/NAM-12.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7972\" alt=\"NAM 1\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/NAM-12.png\" width=\"537\" height=\"408\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/NAM-12.png 537w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/NAM-12-300x227.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 537px) 100vw, 537px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We should get a break in the action during the early and middle parts of the afternoon. This isn&#8217;t a good thing as a line of thunderstorms approaches from the west. This line is likely to produce widespread damaging winds as it rolls across the state into Sunday evening&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/NAM-2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7973\" alt=\"NAM 2\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/NAM-2.png\" width=\"541\" height=\"829\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/NAM-2.png 541w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/NAM-2-195x300.png 195w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 541px) 100vw, 541px\" \/><\/a>There&#8217;s enough shear for us to be concerned for a few tornadoes spinning up within the line. We will also have to watch for any thunderstorms going up just ahead of the line.<\/p>\n<p>I will have updates as needed.
