Good Tuesday evening everyone. WOW… what a weather day across Kentucky. We had our soaking rains earlier today and now the winds are taking center stage. Low pressure is rapidly strengthening as it works through the Ohio Valley.

Winds may gust to near 60mph this evening and you can track the sustained winds here…

In addition to the wind… the backlash rains will move eastward across the state. The dry punch of air in front of this is spawning some isolated severe storms and I am updating those on my Twitter feed… @Kentuckyweather . The storm action will wind down soon but the rains will remain.
