Rain is working eastward across the state this evening and will carry us into early Saturday. Heavy rain will be likely and a rumble of thunder will be possible. This action gets out of town early Saturday and will leave us with some nice stuff to follow.<\/p>\n<p>What you guys want to know about is the return of winter. That comes next week as several systems impact our weather each will bring a shot of colder air than the one before it.<\/p>\n<p>The European Model continues to insist on a storm system blowing across our region Monday night into Tuesday&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Euro5.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8701\" alt=\"Euro\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Euro5.png\" width=\"763\" height=\"378\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Euro5.png 763w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Euro5-300x148.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 763px) 100vw, 763px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>That would be\u00a0a rain to snow situation before the precipitation pulls out of town during the afternoon and evening. That one\u00a0is trying to dig more with each\u00a0model run.<\/p>\n<p>Another system\u00a0dives in by the end of the week and will bring another snow threat our way. That speaks volumes about this winter in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>What is this pattern evolving to? How about the threat of another harsh period of bitter cold later this month or into early February.<\/p>\n<p>As I have said&#8230; we have lots of winter to go and the worst of the snow is still ahead of us.<\/p>\n<p>Do you guys see how much I like you?
