Good Saturday, folks. We have a nasty storm system rolling across the state today. This will deliver several inches of snow to go along with high winds. Put those two together and you have the recipe for dangerous travel conditions in many areas.<\/p>\n

Here’s a breakdown of how the day goes…<\/p>\n

– Moderate to heavy snow will fall early today and will cause significant travel issues.<\/p>\n

– High winds may hit 40-45mph at times and this will blow the snow around and create whiteout conditions at times.<\/p>\n

– The steady band of snow leaves us by late morning with snow showers and squalls kicking in. The arctic front arrives in the afternoon with a squall line of snow.<\/p>\n

– Temps today will spike toward the upper 20s ahead of the front then crash behind it. Single digits will show up this evening and we may drop to zero or below by Sunday morning.<\/p>\n

I will be on WKYT-TV starting at 6 this morning to help track the snow and wind. That means pretty much no sleep for your friendly weatherdude, but that’s how I roll for you guys. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
