Western parts of the state will likely see temps well into the middle 90s. I am a little more bullish on the threat for some afternoon, scattered storms going up Friday… especially in the east. The boomers can help keep temps down some if they do crank up.

– Saturday might end up being the hottest of the two days. Highs will climb into the low and maybe middle 90s. High humidity levels will make it feel even hotter.

– A cold front will settle into the region Sunday and will bring an increased threat for showers and thunderstorms.

– The pattern taking shape for next week looks kinda familiar as very warm and humid weather rolls on with periodic thunderstorms around. Overall.. this is turning out to be a hot and wet summer around here. Remember me saying a few months back this was not the summer to toss around the phrase “hot and dry” ?

– The tropics are trying to wake up a bit. There is a system down in the Caribbean that is being watched as it heads toward Florida over the next few days.

I will have updates today as needed so keep checking back. Have a great Thursday and take care.

Good Thursday everyone.
