Good Monday afternoon everyone and thanks for stopping in. A complex of severe thunderstorms is rolling southeastward out of Indiana and Illinois toward Kentucky. These storms have a history of producing damaging winds and large hail. For that reason… the Storm Prediction Center has put out a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for parts of the state.<\/p>\n

By the way… the watch is out even though the SPC had NO part of it outlooked for even a slight risk of severe weather!<\/p>\n

Damaging winds and large hail will be the main threats from these storms… but an these clusters can sometimes spawn an isolated tornado. Torrential rains will be common and this can cause flash flooding in a few areas.<\/p>\n
