I&#8217;ve been hawking a very busy pattern for a while and that pattern is just about upon us. A surge of summer air this weekend will bring rounds of showers and storms our way for early next week. That&#8217;s a setup that could lead to strong and severe thunderstorms.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking of showers and storms&#8230; we have a few of those out there early today. This action will be across central and eastern Kentucky early today, but will push out of the state in the first few hours of the afternoon. Skies will become sunny with temps ranging from the upper 60s to low 70s.<\/p>\n<p>Follow the action&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Current temperatures<\/strong><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.kymesonet.org\/wxmaps\/tair_f_large.png?nowtime=1325915126\" width=\"479\" height=\"208\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.accuweather.com\/radar-large.asp?partner=netweather&amp;traveler=0&amp;site=KY_&amp;type=SIR&amp;anim=1&amp;level=state&amp;large=1#\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/sirocco.accuweather.com\/nx_mosaic_640x480_public\/sir\/inmaSIRKY_.gif\" usemap=\"#largemap\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The weekend weather looks amazing. Highs on Saturday will range from the upper 70s to low 80s and then into the low 80s for Sunday. Skies will be partly sunny both days. Some late day showers and storms will be possible Sunday and this will begin our thunderstorm train.<\/p>\n<p>Rounds of thunderstorms look to sweep across the state from Monday through Wednesday. Areas that get under this low will see the ugliest of the weather conditions with damp and chilly stuff lingering for days.
