Today is a WKYT First Alert Severe Weather Day due to the increasing risk of severe thunderstorms. That means your friendly weatherdude will be super busy tracking storms to keep you safe with my TV duties. For those who can&#8217;t tune in, the blog is all set with your storm tracking needs.<\/p>\n<p>Round of heavy rain producing thunderstorms will be ongoing early today and some of these may be strong or severe. The prime severe weather threat appears to arrive this evening and will carry us into overnight. If we can get any sunshine this afternoon&#8230; look out. The atmosphere is primed for damaging winds, large hail and a few tornadoes.<\/p>\n<p>Tuesday is likely to bring a few more rounds of strong and severe storms. In addition to the severe threat&#8230; torrential rainfall is expected and this can lead to flash flooding.
