A new Severe Thunderstorm Watch is now out for parts of northern Kentucky until 2am. Here is a look at the watch and counties under warnings…
This line has a history of severe weather and will likely carry that threat into much of the state late this evening into the wee hours of the morning. Damaging winds would be the main impact with a small risk for a tornado.
Track the storms here…
In addition to the severe threat… torrential rains with these storms may cause flash flooding. Many areas picked up a lot of rain last night and this morning and this may lead to an increased flash flood threat for those regions.
I will have updates as needed and will use twitter for rapid updates… @Kentuckyweather .
Take care.
Those storms look very scary. I think I would much rather have a nice snowstorm.
Thanks for the updates, CB. Everyone stay safe.
snow now we are talkin!!! only a matter of time and it’ll be that time again! 😀

Cool pics from the storms that came in last night and this morning. Saw the roll cloud in Frankfort driving to work. Was hard to keep my eyes on the road and not the clouds.
Hey Packman, was there a tornado warning issued for that storm in Lexington last night. I dont recall hearing about one, that is scary, COOL pics though.
