Good Sunday afternoon everyone and thanks for dropping in on the center. Temps this morning tanked into the low and mid 30s for much of the bluegrass state. This gave us the first frost of the young season and this was a bit ahead of schedule.
My other maps from the last post weren’t updating. Here is a look at the mesonet low temps from this morning…
You will notice some of the coldest temps right in the middle of the frost advisory doughnut hole. I have only one thing to say about that.
(doughnut and donut are both correct)
The rest of today will feature temps in the 50s for central and eastern Kentucky. Some clouds will increase in the east and these will work against the grain and slowly spread west. Some showers to our east will also drift in tonight into Monday.
You can see these here…
Indian Summer is coming this week! That will give me some calm weather to do some more winter weather research and that also means I will share some winter things with you guys this week. Spread the winter word! ![]()
Have a great rest of your Sunday and take care.
chris, your tracking toys are not coming up on my computer and i normally do not have any problems with them coming up. just thought i would let you know. i do read every day from the town of wayne, wva but i do not comment every day. thanks for your time and may god bless you and your family.
Tracking toys not showing up on my computer either. Normally don’t have that problem. I also read everyday-usually check several times a day, but rarely post. Depend on this site.
That updated low temp map makes more sense than the one in your earlier post.
I don’t know what the temp was, however, it was REALLY COLD in the Red River Gorge. Didn’t want to get out of my sleeping bag!
