Good Sunday and Happy Mother’s Day. This is not only a day to say thanks to our moms… but I think we should also give a big shout out and thanks to Mother Nature. Without her… this blog would not be possible. So.. this blog is to you Maw Nature!

Moms big day is going to be another cooler than normal day as highs reach the lower 60s once again. Partly sunny skies will be with us as winds slacken off from where they were Saturday.

Monday will find clouds increasing from west to east as a warm front swings in here. This front will bring showers and thunderstorms to the area Monday night into early Tuesday.

GFS Monday Night

Warmer and more humid air will move in for Tuesday and hang around for the rest of the week as a cold front stalls out just to our north. This front will be the focal point for rounds of showers and thunderstorms all the way into the end of the week. This setup means that locally heavy rains willl be likely… especially for areas getting in on repeat storm action.

GFS Wednesday Morning

This will be something for us to keep watch on this week as strong storms will also be a possibility on any given day from Tuesday through Friday.
