Good Monday afternoon everyone. I wanted to drop by for a quick update on the Major Flooding that continues across some of the state. Many rivers are in flood with a few now into the MAJOR category as far as the crest is concerned.

Here is a look at the current stages and forecasts for the 3 rivers that are considered to experience Major flooding…

Red River at Clay City

Stoner Creek at Paris

Rolling Fork River near Boston

It will take several more days to get these rivers back into their banks.

As far as the current weather goes. Severe thunderstorms are breaking out just to the north of the state. These will make a run at the Ohio River before falling apart this evening. Here is your regional radar to track them…

Looking a little farther down the road… I am watching for the potential for severe thunderstorms by Friday. Just something to keep in mind.

Take care.
