Good afternoon everyone. A major tornado outbreak is taking place from the deep south into the lower Ohio Valley. Several intense, long tracked tornadoes have touched down across the south causing all kinds of damage. These storms are moving northeastward toward Kentucky. A TORNADO WATCH is now in effect until 10pm for much of central and western Kentucky. This watch is given the highest priority as it is labeled as a Particularly Dangerous Situation.

This watch is likely the first of several more to come and these should eventually cover most of the region through the evening and overnight hours.

Damaging winds and large tornadoes will be possible.
