Good Friday evening gang. I wanted to drop by for a quick update on the increasing prospects for severe weather to impact the western parts of the state tonight. A TORNADO WATCH is now out until 3am local time for several counties.

Clusters of thunderstorms are rapidly rolling northeastward out of Arkansas and Tennessee and will move into western Kentucky over the next few hours. The setup is such that tornadoes and damaging winds are likely. Here are some radars to track the storms..
These storms should diminish somewhat as they come farther northeast into the rest of the state overnight. Still… we will have to keep an eye on them.
The entire state has an increased potential of seeing a significant severe weather outbreak Saturday into Saturday night. I will update that threat later tonight.
