Good evening gang. The arctic front is pushing out of bluegrass country into the eastern half of Kentucky. An increasing band of snow is developing along and ahead of this front. It will lay down another inch or two in some areas. Winds will crank as well creating near whiteout conditions at times.

You can see this band of snow here…

Snow showers and flurries will fill in behind the front overnight. I think the best shot at putting down a few more inches of snow will come Friday into Friday night. It could actually get pretty nasty out as our snow ratios will be off the chart!!!

The other part of our storm is the cold and wind combo. Winds are kicking up as the front goes through as gusts reach 20-30mph creating blowing and drifting snow. Travel tonight will be dangerous!!

The temp drop is rather dramatic as well and you can follow that here…

Wind Chills

Those wind chill readings will go as low as -10 overnight into early Friday. Actual air temps in the single digits are likely with temps Friday staying in the teens and low 20s for highs.

I will have another update later so check back. Take care.
