Good Wednesday afternoon, all. For the past several days, I’ve been expressing my interest in how the weekend temps would play out. My concern has been for the numbers to come in cooler than advertised by the models and that’s what we’re now seeing.
The NAM shows a ton of low level moisture returning for Saturday…
The same model run takes that and runs with it and just kills our temps. The highs from the NAM look way too cold…
Still… it’s pointing toward my concerns and the Hi-Res GFS continues to pick up on this trend for Sunday…
The Canadian Model looks like a compromise…
If we can keep low clouds or some fog around on either day… temps will check in on the chilly side. Anyone expecting a gorgeous and mild weekend will likely be very disappointed.
The action will really ramp up next week and into Christmas week as a parade of storms rolls across the country. Throw in several cold shots dropping in from the north and a lot of winter should show up.
I’ll touch on all that with the evening update. Enjoy the day and take care.
Can I please place my order for the weather over the next few months? I’d like chilly weather with some festive snowflakes for the Christmas holidays, then after New Year’s let it snow, let it snow!
Would be AWESOME if we could get a white Christmas! Anyone know the last true white Christmas?
