Good Sunday everyone and thanks for checking in with us for your weather needs. We are heading into a rather active period of weather as the threat for showers and storms increase and we watch for another big cutoff low.
Let’s break it down with the headlines…
– Scattered showers and storms will develop across the state today with the greatest concentration across the central and west. Highs will run in the 70s.
– Rain chances will really kick into high gear into Monday and Monday night as showers and storms become more widespread. Temps will be held in check because of the rains.
– A few showers will linger across the east into Tuesday with highs back into the 70s.
– A system will be diving in from the northwest on Wednesday and this is likely to become cutoff from the main flow. This system should be fairly deep as it centers itself across the Ohio Valley by the end of the week.
– This will result in an increase in rain chances with the potential for some heavy rains from late Wednesday into next weekend. Temps will likely come way down as we have the potential to deal with another prolonged cool and wet period of weather.
– Winter weather fans should love seeing all the fall cutoff lows as this fits some of the more robust winter analog years I am looking at. ![]()
I will have a more in depth update coming later today. In the meantime, let’s track some showers…
Have a great Sunday and take care.

Pretty decent little shower coming down here in W. Mercer. Wasn’t yesterday just beautiful? That’s the kind of weather I live for!
