Good evening gang. I am getting ready to head out to my station’s Christmas party and wanted to drop by for a brief update as we have a nice batch of precip working in.
In looking at the atmosphere… our dewpoints are very low right now. This should mean the initial precip falling will have to moisten things up before reaching the ground. In doing so… it will drag temps down some and this can lead to a period of frozen stuff falling from the sky for a few hours. That is something to watch for and you can do just that here..
Current
Temps will come up late tonight into Sunday meaning a cold rain will be the main player. If you see any frozen stuff coming from the sky this evening… let us know.
Long range pattern continues to scream COLD! We will also have several snow chances in there too! ![]()
Have a great evening and take care.

Im tired of cold rain….can we get to business on some snow??
every time they start giving snow for some strange reason when it’s close to the time were suppose to get the snow,it suddenly becomes rain. go figure.
this has been forcasted to be rain for a few days now and maybe a mix to start
18z gfs had a very intresting look to the clipper coming late next week. It all depends on the amplification of the trough, more amlified that track can happen, more zonal it’s more snow for the upper great lakes.

Light sleet/rain mix in East Bernstadt.
Very fine Rain/snow mix falling at my house in Manchester.
Nothing falling here, but the temp…we are sitting at 39 right now. It finally got up to 44 late this afternoon. East Bernstadt is not too far from here….about 35-40 miles, if that, so, if you are getting something there, we should start seeing it soon, I would think.
but, I seriously hope we finally see some snow before too long. As rainy as the year has been, I really am longing for some of the white stuff 😉
And, The OtherBill….I watched that game. It was a great game, and the snowstorm that moved in just made it better!
