Good Sunday everyone. Dropping in for a little update for you for both the short term and the upcoming holiday week and what will be a transition into winter!

Let’s start with the NOW as we have a couple of showers moving in across southern Kentucky. Here is what they look like on radar…

The threat for a few showers will increase across much of the state overnight into Monday. The greatest chance will be across the south and southeast.

The change toward winter begins Wednesday as a cold front works through the state with a few rain showers. Much colder air moves in Thanksgiving Day with rain and some snow showers likely. Snow showers will be more likely Thursday night into Friday when a coating of snow cannot be ruled out. All of this happens as a big low pressure forms across the east coast of the US. Watch it play out on the European Model…

Thanksgiving Day
Black Friday Morning

The air coming for the end of the week is cold but is not of arctic origin. That means daytime highs in the upper 30s to around 40 with lows in the upper 20s to low 30s.

Beyond this week… winter is coming folks and it is going to try to come on like gangbusters for early December!

More on that coming later tonight with the winter forecast online sometime Monday!!! Take care.
