Good Sunday everyone. It is hard to believe it has been 10 years since our country was shaken to its core by the events of September 11, 2001. We all remember exactly where we were on the fateful morning and the feeling of that day is forever engrained in each of us. Our country will pause today to remember the lives lost and the heroic actions of so many on that September day and many of us will do so in our own private way. I know I will.
As far as the weather goes… it’s fall and the pattern for the week ahead will feature more of it.
Our short term will feature scattered showers and thunderstorms across much of the region today. We will have to watch for a strong storm or two with hail and high winds.
The new week will start off on a better note with temps making a run toward 80 for many on Monday. There will still be a small threat for an afternoon shower or thunderstorm in the east. Tuesday will see winds and clouds both increase as highs top out near 80 or a few degrees better.
A cold front arrives on Wednesday with scattered showers and thunderstorms. This front will usher in another big time shot of cool air for the end of the week into next weekend. I am still not sure whether or not this front checks up with waves of low pressure bringing some rounds of rain into Thursday and Friday.
One thing I am certain of…it’s going to get very cool again. Look at the departures showing up on the GFS…
There is a very real chance we see another string of days with highs in the 60s. If skies are clear…overnight lows could flirt with records.
Let’s track today’s weather…
Have a great Sunday. Take care and God Bless America.
where is everyone? its 1:30 in the afternoon, and no posts
looks like jackson county is about to get rain, according to the radar. not sure if northern clay will get in some rain action or not. I sort of hope it doesnt rain, but if it does, it does.
Following animated dispatch with firefighters battling brushfire in San Antonio. You can almost feel the heat.
Good channel on police scanner provided on my blog.
Can’t post it here.]]
I’m in Maysville at the moment, and here the weather could not possibly be nicer. 76 degrees and puffy cumulus clouds with a nice breeze. 10 out of 10.
No hurry for winter with weather like this.
good evening from the town of wayne, wva. at 6:30pm the temp is 75 degrees after the high for today almost got to 80 degrees at 78. this weekend is sure a big improvement from the past week where the temps failed to get out of the 60s all week. both days, saturday and sunday did feature some sprinkles on saturday and actually a light shower on sunday giving us .01 inches of rain in the rain gauge today but the sprinkles did not amount to any thing on saturday. the only day that did not recieve any rain at all last week was thursday although it was cool with the temp stuck in the 60s all day. we will wait to see what the new work week brings us and just how much cooler that it can get at the end of the week. on a side note…..what happened to the big mighty and tough steelers today? not so tough, yeee? how about the bengals? maybe that is what they needed was to get rid of all the cut ups on the team or should i say distractions, such as ochocinko, carson palmer and a few others that i can not really think of but i know there was at least 1 more. i know 1 game does not make a season but it sure is nice to see the steelers lose and lose bad and see the bengals win. go chris and bengals!!!!! you are the best!!!!!!!!!!
Hope you’re still running your mouth in December, but I doubt you will be…
Go Steelers..!
…
oh i`m pretty sure i will be. i have always said that ever since big ben has been in the nfl that he has got to be the luckiest qb in the league and if you can get a lot of pressure on him then you can rattle him and it will then be mistake heaven and now i think we are starting to see that, going back to last years super bowl when greenbay took care of business and then today it carried over from last season. just keep in my what i said, “1 game does not make a season but it sure was imo to see the steelers lose and lose bad today and to see the bengals win.” whether you are a steelers fan or not, you have to admit that they just plain flat out got an ole fashion butt whipping today by what i think is a better team than the steelers. now as for the bengals, i realize they probably played a cup cake today but you have to start some where. now that all the distractions are gone maybe they can start playing football.
