Good morning everyone. The showers got in here pretty early today and with temps that were in the 30s… some areas got in on some sleet. Did you see any sleet? If so… let us know when and where. I sent out a very early morning tweet about sleet being possible. If you haven’t signed up to follow me on twitter… do it! @Kentuckyweather is the name and tweeting about the weather and life is my game!

The showers out there today will taper off today but a few may return later tonight and early Thursday. Temps will remain well below normal through Friday as we build up one heck of a negative departure for the first week of November. Temps are going to be running some 5 to 7 degrees below normal after week one.

Warmer temps will be with us this weekend into early next week as readings head well into the 60s and even low 70s for a few days as we get a taste of Indian Summer.

Don’t look now… but the warm spell is getting shorter and shorter as the models are bringing moisture in here much quicker into early next week…

Notice that thing sitting down there in the Gulf of Mexico early next week? Say hello to Tropical Depression #11…

[Image of 5-day forecast and coastal areas under a warning or a watch]

A tropical system coming north out of the gulf at some point late next week with all that cold air bottled up in Canada could make for a wild looking map at some point over the next few weeks.

Have a great rest of your day my friends and take care.
