Good afternoon everyone and thanks for blogging with us. The headline says it all… I will be back at WKYT working this Friday Evening. 
I will be doing all the evening shows starting at 5 and going through the 10 and 11 as I will be filling in for my boy TG. The Shuckster is recovering from some minor surgery. He will be fine… just needs to rest a while.
What many of you don’t realize is that the two of us talk just about everyday and he is like a big brother to me. Yes… he is the big brother since he has a few years on me!
So anyway… that is the big news for you guys.
As far as the weather goes… showers and storms are cranking up across the state this afternoon and this is doing exactly what I feared with our temps… keeping them much lower. Heavy rains and some strong storms are likely this afternoon and you can track the storms here…

Well, I’ll take Chris on one day that sure beats no Chris at all. This is some more strange weather and I can’t wait to see what winter brings. Sure hope that T.G. feels better soon and gets back to his normal life. Look forward to seeing you, Chris!

And it shows how much Eastern Kentucky misses you too, Chris! I love the fact that you always covered Eastern Kentucky in your forecasts also. You were and still are my main source for weather whether on WKYT or here on the blog! I miss watching your forecasts before work every morning. You can bet I’ll be tuned in Friday evening and night! I have noticed that the SPC has been wildly altering their Severe Weather Outlooks as far as slight chances. This morning day 2 showed pretty much the entire state in a slight risk for thursday and now it shows KY not in the risk at all hardly. While I don’t wish for Severe Weather to happen here I just think that something might be going on providing unreliable results there At the SPC anyone else seeing this??
Virgil, that is all because SciFi has become SyFy. The world has tilted on its axis. SPC can’t figure it out.
Anyway, Friday PM has now become “must see” TV.
