Good evening everyone. Thanks to all those who took part in our thrown together live blog chat. Thunderstorms are still working their way across central and southern Kentucky right now. Some of these are strong and severe and that may be a problem for a few more hours.
Track the storms here…
Leave your severe storms report in the comments section and I will add to the blog as need be. Take care.

Big lighting returning here in NW LEX
Looks like a whopper headed toward Corbin. No warnings though……..anyone know anything about this storm?
Very rough in Georgetown right now. I don’t like the clouds moving in every direction. The winds and rain angle are constantly changing too. It just doesn’t seem normal to me.
Still heavy rain, lightning and thunder in Masterson Station area.
I heard on the scanner a few minutes ago that a funnel cloud was spotted at Somerset at hwy 27 and 80 heading towards London.
nw lexington now has 2-4 inches of rain tonight and the storm is still stalled, where’s the flood warning?
rain just really intensified here in NW lex with strong winds. Still a big light now going on too.
Mitch, I was wondering about the same thing for Scott County. The culvert behind the house is overflowing, and the News Graphic is reporting high water on US 25.
Very nasty looking here in Nicholasville. Thunder all around us and very dark. Wind is dead still, scary. It is either just building on top of us, or it moving back in from the east.
I’m currently in Corbin with the family….Thunderstorm in the area with heavy rain. Not severe by any means at the moment.
A TON of lightning here in NW Lex. Lots of rain too
