Good afternoon everyone and Happy Father’s Day to all the Dad’s out there! I am back in front from the mini vacation to Cincy and the blog will be getting back to normal. This is just a small post to get you caught up on what I am seeing after just scanning over the weather data.
We have been seeing a boundary setting up from northwest to southeast across the state. This has been the focal point for scattered showers and thunderstorms roaming about the area. These have been the case for parts of central and south central areas of the state. Track the storms here…
Here are a couple more quickie thoughts…
1. The northwestern sky will be the place to watch over the next few days as scattered showers and thunderstorms develop. The radar will look a lot like it is looking today as far as the movement is concerned.
2. Locally heavy rains and some isolated severe weather will be possible.
3. Outside of any thunderstorm action… temps will be warm and the humidity high.
4. A few days of 90 ish temps will be possible this week. This is good new for my summer forecast!
I said we would see June as the hottest of the bunch in relation to normal so some heat is not such a bad thing. haha
5. Heat ridge centered in the plains will be heading back toward the west coast as a trough moves back into the eastern part of the country! That should start happening next weekend.
Full update coming later tonight so check back. Have a great day and take care.
