Good Friday everyone! I am likely to be away from a computer for much of the day today so this might be your one stop shop for severe weather until the evening. The threat for another active severe weather any is certainly there across the state. That is especially true the farther north you live.
While we will see a few storms at any point today…. and some of those may go severe… the main action should hold off until this evening or overnight.
Here is the updating severe weather map from the Storm Prediction Center for today…
Here is your assortment of radars…
I will be using Twitter as much as I can to get out any watches or warnings and you can see that in the top right hand corner of the blog. You can also sign up on Twitter and follow me and you will get those messages sent to your cell phone free of charge!
Have a great Friday and I will see you at some point!
Take care.

I don’t twitter but will be “computering” (is that a word) this site faithfully this week-end with weddings in mind for tomorrow. Thanks for being so faithful with this site, Chris. I know I can trust it.
The Twitter Link here on the blog is dead on my screen. Is that just me, or is it blank for you all too?
I am very glad to get the twitters on my cell phone since I am away from a computer for most of the day. I was able to call my kids at home and give them instructions on what to do when yesterday’s weather went through.
Twitter link works for me
Visible Sat. channel appears to show a distinct outflow boundary racing due-south from Indiana/Ohio toward KY this morning. Keep an eye on that…
Well, huh. No matter how many times I refresh the page or go to the page, my Twitter Link block in the right hand corner stays frustratingly empty. Pooh.

Hummm, rumors around work is a couple trips a month to Kings Island is good for what ails you.
Yeah, this afternoon satellite shows nothing even trying to get going in or near Kentucky. Just sun, heat, and humidity. Blah..
So you saying its hot outside? Huh…wouldn’t have guessed that. 🙂
Hey gang! Just checking in from Kings Island where it is hot hot hot. Severe weather coming later this evening and tonight. I will have a live interactive blog late evening!
Chris, she is adorable!
As far as this hot, hot, hot stuff goes….bring back the cool and rainy any time you want.
BLAH, id say if your home and property had been torn all to peices bye them storms you would be tickled to death by just heat and humidity. I cant see how anybody could look forward to having weather like we have had the the last couple of weeks!
Hold off until after 8:00 please, we have the youth baseball championship games scheduled for tonight at 6 here in Scott County.
Saw lots of trees/branches down around Richmond today. We have seen nothing like that around here lately.
Yep, all the aircraft soundings from UPS at SDF and BNA show lots of warm air aloft. Very difficult to get stuff going in that kind of setup. Feel that best chances of any weather will be north of the river tonight.
hey chris: did you take on the “diamondback “or ride the parks best”the beast”

does the NWS really think we have a chance to hit 95 on Sat as wet as everything is ? or do they really smoke crack
Currently 96.6 at my house, and it’s just now Friday.
I think you might be the one smoking crack.
please dont be a troll…to late
Well, the bride has decided to move it indoors because of the heat. YEA!!!!!!!!!!
I sure hope this stuff isnt a middle of the night surprise!
Tomorrow my baby has his 1st birthday party and our air is not working that well!!! I’m wishing for rain all day so it stays cool but not too much rain for the people who have been slammed.
Chris, hope you had a great day with your family!
Couple of supercells breaking away from the main line. If they can hold together it looks like they’ll hit the Bluegrass overnight.
Just calling em like I see em. Since “troll” is a term used by kids who play online games, I will assume that is what you are. In that case, your opinion means nothing. Thank you for you comment, however.
This was an important commentary. I stumbled across your article and thought it very useful.
