Good Evening everyone. A new SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH is now out for parts of western and central Kentucky. This watch goes until 9pm. Here is a look at the counties included…
Several warnings have already been issued and you can find the latest warnings here…
Here are the radars for your storm tracking pleasure…
Damaging winds and large hail will be the main threat from these storms. We are likely to see all this come together into a big time cluster of storms that will work eastward across the entire state into the overnight hours.
I will use twitter for the latest warnings and you can find that up in the top right corner of sign up for free updates. Take care.

please bring some decent rainfall tired of this piddly stuff reminds me of winter all over again
best weather info..thank you
Thank-you but no thank-you. I have had enough rain in the last two weeks to flood our whole holler. The creek has gone close to flooding twice, we lost our drive to a wash-out, CAN’T get in the garden without waders. I don’t want to sound ungrateful, but I’ve had enough for a while.
I dont know how you missed out on that storm earlier, at 7pm I had 1.25″ of rain in my rain gauge…you must not be living right..LOL…it was pouring the rain here around 6:30 as well because my wife got soaked coming home from work…
looks like more on the way for later this evening…pretty intense stuff around bowling green, if it hold together this far east…
Lightning actually hit my hughes dish, so im just getting back on line…not fun there…
hey chris….thanks for all the updates, and putting the 3 radar sites up with your updates…THEY ARE A HUGE HELP!!!
I know what you mean with the garden, my beans have been replanted twice because they keep rotting!!!..
maybe 1/4 inch here ? we did get some rain between 5 and 6 and we went to London so i dunno what we got here while i was gone
The storm in Madison County is starting to show a hook echo. Hope the NWS is keeping a clear eye on this storm this time. Last time there was a tornado here, we had no warning at all. The ironic thing is that the worst part of the storm is once again moving through Kirksville.
It’s raining again here North of Hazard. I’ve had enough rain to last me most of the summer. 🙂
